Graduation Information

Congratulations Seniors!
You are approaching graduation.

Graduation Filing Process 

  1. Any student preparing to graduate must submit the Intent to Graduate Form via the web by the published deadline date.

  2. You will then receive an automatic confirmation that the University College has received the form.

  3. Once the form is processed by the Graduation Analyst a "Graduation Filing Packet" will be e-mailed to your University of Memphis account.  If you are not yet ready to file for graduation, an instructional letter will be e-mailed to you in order to prepare you for graduation.

  4. You must review, sign, and return the packet to the Graduation Analyst.

    ·         Deliver or mail to 218 Brister Hall, Memphis, TN 38152
    or fax to 901.678.4913.

    ·         DO NOT RETURN VIA E-MAIL

  5. If you have any questions once you have reviewed the filing packet, you may then call and schedule an appointment with the Graduation Analyst at 901.678.2716.

Please keep in mind the following before you file:

·        If you are designing your own degree:  You must first have an approved baccalaureate contract BEFORE you can file your Intent to Graduate Form.

If you are in the Individual Studies Program and wish to be considered for Fall 2008 graduation, your baccalaureate contract must be approved by the college no later than July 16, 2008.

If you are in the Interdisciplinary Studies Program and wish to be considered for Fall 2008 graduation, your Baccalaureate Contract must be approved by the college no later than July 16, 2008.

If you need assistance with completing your contract, please schedule an appointment with your advisor by calling 901.678.2716.

·     Once you have submitted your contract and it has been approved, please contact your advisor to find out when you will be ready to file for graduation.

·        If you are ready to file for Fall 2008 graduation, you may proceed to file your Intent to Graduate Form online to begin the graduation process.  You must file by July 16, 2008.  If you need assistance with completing this form, call 901.678.2716.
